Repeating Line Drawings, 2012

These works explore mechanical drawing in a digital format; they lend themselves to automation, repetition and geometry.

Each of the drawings are based around a central locus, then through manipulation of the initial shapes and generation of both random and intentional lines, dense patterns of marks developed and built up on top of one another, creating an almost infinity of lines. The almost incomprehensible amount of lines drawn in a rather short period of time when compared with that of traditional drawing serves as a comment on the instantaneousness of the world I find myself in.
